Power Bencher earns commission when readers buy through some of the links on this site. This page explains exactly how that works.

Which links pay us

Outbound links to retailers are affiliate links. They are marked in the page code as sponsored, and they open in a new tab. Links to manufacturer documentation, standards bodies and other reference sources are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.

What commission does not change

• The order recommendations appear in
• Which product wins which award
• What we say about a product's drawbacks

We do not accept payment for placement or for a favourable review. No manufacturer sees an article before it publishes.

Where the disclosure appears

Every article carrying commercial links shows a disclosure above the first one, near the top of the page, before any recommendation. Our publishing system fails the build if a commercial link appears before that disclosure, so it cannot be omitted by accident.

About prices

We generally show a "Check price" link rather than a figure, because prices in this category change frequently and a stale number is worse than none. Where we do show a price, it was checked within the last 30 days, and our system automatically hides any price older than that.
